Role
Presenter

In October 2025, I had the opportunity to step onto the LightBox Expo stage as a presenter, representing Otis College of Art and Design with a talk titled “Otis to Industry: Bridging the Gap Between Potential and Pro.”

My presentation focused on helping emerging artists navigate the leap from school to the professional world by sharing insights on industry workflows, portfolio development, career readiness, and the expectations that aren’t always taught in the classroom. It was incredibly rewarding to connect with students and fellow creatives, answer questions, and hopefully make the transition into the industry feel a little less intimidating — and a lot more exciting.

Being part of an event dedicated to education, mentorship, and creative growth was both an honor and a full-circle moment. Getting to represent the school alongside professors and alumni while speaking to a room full of passionate artists reminded me why I love building communities, sharing knowledge, and helping others feel more confident about what’s next.
